Comedian and author David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.
Best-selling young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.
A spokesman for the publisher said: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the move was made after an investigation into allegations of questionable actions towards female individuals.
The company did not confirm the reasons for its decision, noting: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
An Illustrious Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, having sold over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.
His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works altogether, which features a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.
A Dual Career
He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
